Jackie Pool has a career that has included being a bestselling author, developing the world renowned PAL instrument used across the NHS and social care sectors and working as an advisor to government. She is the author of the Dementia Units of the national Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCFs). 

This one-day Trainer-led course will support care workers to understand the process and experience of dementia. 

The learning outcomes map to the required outcomes of subjects 1, 2, 3 and 7 of Tier 2 in the Dementia Core Skills Education and Training Framework 2015. It also underpins the more specialist skills and knowledge required at Tier 3.
