Moving and Handling Train the Trainer aims: to ensure the learner is working to current moving and handling guidelines, have a sound knowledge of biomechanics & efficient movement and to ensure safe practices for their trainees.
The course consists of all elements of theory and practical that is in line with the National Back Exchange guidelines, Scottish Passport and also the Welsh Passport system. The theory element is also equal to a Level 3 standard. We cover all the practical aspects including the techniques and safety aspects of all manoeuvres with equipment, including mobile hoists.
During the four days we work on teaching skills to enable the candidate to deliver Moving and Handling effectively in their place of work. Day 4 is the micro teach assessment day, where each candidate has half an hour to deliver a small teach to assess their skills to deliver training.
On successful completion of the course all candidates receive access to our forum with PowerPoint Presentation, Handouts, Lesson Plans, NBE standards, Scottish Passport, Welsh Passport and other information to allow them to teach immediately. All candidates receive logons to our Academy page, which is an online support forum for answering of queries for trainers.
