The Care Certificate replaced the National Training Standards and the Common Induction Standards as of the 1st April 2015. It provides clear evidence to employers, patients and people who receive care and support that you, the health or social care worker in front of them, have been trained to a specific set of standards. It gives everyone the confidence that you have the skills and knowledge to provide compassionate & high quality care and support.
The Care Certificate consists of 15 standards of care, each of which outlines a method of practice necessary to provide care of the highest possible standard. Interested in taking part in one of our online or classroom based care courses? Contact our team today!
The Care Quality Commission have set out clear guidelines which must be achieved before staff can be deemed “competent”. Observations and assessments must take place with staff to ensure that each standard of the Care Certificate is achieved. Each individual staff member will have to generate their own portfolio of evidence which is then signed off by the person/persons responsible for ensuring the standards are maintained and adhere to the guidelines.
We have been working to bring about a blended package that provides the solution to meeting this criteria. Our aim is to provide a cost effective and time considered process that allows you to confidently train your new starter to the highest standard.
We have partnered with NCFE to provide a full Care Certificate solution that offers staff an accredited Care Certificate Award upon completion. eLFY Training also has an Accredited Care Assessor workshop which will enable your nominated staff to assess new starters into your workplace.
