The Care Certificate replaced the National Training Standards and the Common Induction Standards as of the 1st April 2015. Any new members of care staff without previous experience will not be able to carry out any duties relating to personal care until fully assessed as competent.
The Care Quality Commission have set out clear guidelines and deliverables which must be achieved before staff can be deemed “competent”. Observations and assessments have to take place with staff to ensure that each standard of the Care Certificate is achieved. Each individual staff member will have to generate their own portfolio of evidence to then be signed off at each stage by the person/persons responsible for ensuring the Standards are maintained and adhere to the guidelines.
At eLFY Training we have been working to bring about a blended package that provides the solution to meeting this newly enforced criteria. Our aim is to provide a cost effective and time considered process that allows you to confidently train your new starter to the highest standard.
